Washington DC: The Pakistani embassy in Washington DC caused tremendous humiliation to Pakistan by exhibiting an empty stall at the exhibition held at the World Trade Centre, located at the prestigious Ronald Reagan building in Washington DC
The 7th Annual Embassy Showcase titled “ “Winternational” where more than fifty countries participated and their respective embassies arranged stalls showcasing the cultural and culinary traditions of their countries.
Pakistani stall on the occasion was of special interest to the hundreds of participants. This stall was unique in a sense that it was the only stall which had nothing there to display expect the signage standee of Pakistan, one empty table, one chair and the trash can placed at the stall.
Ambassadors and other staff members of many under developed countries such as Afghanistan, Ghana, Bolivia, El Salvador, Armenia and Congo were present on the occasion but not a single representative of the Pakistani embassy in Washington DC graced the occasion.

It is obvious that the embassy of the Pakistan had registered for the event and that is why it was allotted the table on the occasion but if for some reason no body out of the more than one hundred staff members of the Pakistani embassy could not make it to the occasion, they should have at least informed the organizers and the name of Pakistan was not left for such humiliation.

A Pakistani couple on the occasion while talking to The Frontier Post said that they felt really embarrassed at event and urged the newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi to look after the international image of Pakistan which is tarnished by none other than the Pakistani officials themselves.
