Pentagon Washington Dc: Centcom spokesman Air Force Col. Patrick Ryder denied reports that Pakistan premier intelligence agency, ISI was providing funds to ISIS in Afghanistan for recruiting agents.
At the daily press briefing in Pentagon, a reporter from leading US media house put a question to Centcom Spokesman that Pakistani intelligence agency the ISI was providing funds to the ISIS for recruiting agents and followers in Afghanistan. In his response Col. Patrick denied such reports and called them baseless. The spokesman further said that In his meeting with Pakistani Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif last week, the Centcom Chief, General Lloyd Austin appreciated Pakistan efforts and sacrifices in war against terrorism.
With regard to Afghanistan, the spokesman said that Centcom has increased attacks against Taliban in South of Afghanistan .
